Q: When would this automatic contribution be charged to my account?
On the signup screens, you can specify whether you want your contribution made one time, weekly, or monthly. You can set up as many schedules as you would like, so it is possible to give a monthly gift as well as a weekly one. Depending upon the banking institution, it may take several days for your contribution to post to your account. Make sure though, that you enter your contribution into your register for the day you select in the online giving form.
Q: Can I test this by giving one time?
Yes. You may test Online Giving by selecting "One Time" in the frequency drop down box of the signup process.
Q: How can I keep a record of the amount I have contributed?
Take time to print the screen that you complete or keep a copy of the email confirmation that you will receive. You also have online access to your account to view or print the most recent two years of giving.
Q: Can I give to the building fund?
Yes, you will be asked to choose from the "General Fund - Tithe" or "Great Investment".
Q: What if I change credit cards or want to change the amount of my contribution?
Access your account from any web enabled computer by clicking on the "Begin Giving Online" link and you will see the enabled contributions that you have. You can then edit or delete and contribution you choose.
Q: How do I participate in the weekly offering if my contribution is automatically processed online?
The act of giving should be and can be participatory. You can write, "I'm giving online" on the giving envelope or on a piece of paper and place it in the offering basket, but this is not necessary. See the next question below for more on a similar topic about giving being, "participitory."
Q: Is there more to giving than just dollars and cents?
Without a doubt! The act of giving is another form of Worship between you and the Lord and should not be entered into lightly. The act of giving should be done out of love for God, out of a deep sense of appreciation for who He is and what He is doing in your life. As you present your gift to the Lord you should not go before Him grudgingly, but instead with joy and thanksgiving in your heart. You should put thought (see self study) and prayer into it and finally you should release it to Him, for His glory and honor.
