The Baptism Process
The baptism process at Horizons Community Church has been designed to be both simple and meaningful. From the registration form to the baptism meeting, each step has been carefully planned with you in mind:
- Listen to the baptism message in Audio or Video format to clearly understand what it is.
- Complete the baptism Registration form. Please register the actual person(s) to be baptized, not the person completing the form.
- After we receive your registration form, we'll contact you to let you know when the informational meeting is scheduled and what the next steps are which includes sharing your story on video.
- Get baptized! The entire process is super easy, super fun and will change your life.
On the day of the baptism, please remember to:
- Show up in the office for a brief overview of the service 30 minutes prior to the start of the service. For those getting baptized at the 9:00 service, the time would be 8:30 and for those getting baptized at the 10:30 service, the time would be 10:00.
- Bring shorts, a dark colored t-shirt, flip flops if you want and for ladies please wear a swim suit under your shorts and t-shirt.
- You can come with those things on under your clothing or you can change in the bathrooms.
- Bring a towel and dry clothing to change in to along with a bag for your wet clothing.
- Once everyone is baptized you will be dismissed to go to the nearest bathroom to change.
- During the overview time please let me know who you will want to do your baptism. We ask this because you don't have to be a Pastor or have any special qualifications to baptize someone other than being a Christian. If there is no preference it would be Lisa, Tyler or Todd.
