Membership at Horizons Community Church
One of the most important things you'll do in your lifetime is to make the commitment to your local church. If you choose to become a member of the Horizons family, you'll be on track to being transformed into an authentic Christ-follower, much more than just a person who believes in God. Your faith will influence everything from what you think to the decisions you make. In addition, you will become a partner in Horizons mission: to creatively connect people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
HCC membership requirements:
- Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Participate in baptism by immersion if you have not already done so.
- Watch these four online video's where Jimmy explains in great detail what we're about as a church.
- Spend time reviewing our Statement of Faith.
- Print off a copy of the Online Application and mail or personally deliver it to Todd LaVine at the church office.
- Complete the membership interview with our MLT (church leaders) which is held the last Sunday of each month and sign the membership covenant. The membership covenant requires a number of things, but mainly confirms that members are committed to the giving of their time (volunteering), talent (doing what you're good at) and treasure (giving financially).
